Founded in 1954 and incorporated in 1966, Saw Specialists is a family-owned saw blade manufacturer based in Durban, South Africa. We have supported sawmills, timber processors, woodworking manufacturers and industrial cutting operations throughout Southern Africa for over six decades. Our combination of local manufacturing, practical sawmill experience and technical support allows us to supply solutions tailored to the customer's application rather than simply supplying stock products.
We manufacture and service industrial saw blades, cutting tools, and sawmill support equipment with our work covering a wide range of applications, from narrow bandsaw blades and wide bandsaw blades to circular saw blades, frame saw blades, tungsten carbide-tipped tooling, and specialised saw shop equipment. Products are manufactured to customer specification or recommended by our technical team according to the machine, material, and cutting application.

We manufacture blades from raw material through to finished product. We use quality steel, carbide, grinding wheels, silver solder, consumables, and machinery sourced from established international suppliers, supported by local knowledge and practical experience.
